All of us were convinced there was no way that there could have been 3 bad batteries. We were out in the parking lot with ammeters hooked up trying to find parasitic draws and everything. They said they had never seen anything like it. Finally, they gave me a 'green top', which is apparently the 'better' battery and it's been great.īut, the guys at the local Interstate distributor got to know me by name I was in there so much. We were searching all over for what was causing it. ![]() First one lasted a month before failing, second one lasted about 6 months and the third one died after about 2 months. I got 3 dud batteries from them in a row. Listen, I'm a diehard (er, bad term to use when talking about batteries, I guess) Interstate guy. Then that first 30 degree morning hits and. They start showing that they're bad fast. Chances are your battery was pretty much done when you got to Autozone. Did this happen to someone else? Is it normal for battery to go down in AMPs after getting charged? I hope I was not swindled into a sales gimmick. My only choice was to buy that new battery at the higher price. I was unable to start the car at 175 AMP.I was literally stuck at Autozone parking lot. I wanted to shop around for a cheaper one somewhere else (Costco has it for $80, Interstate brand). The lowest priced one they had was for $125, their own brand. The guy just shrugged his shoulder and told me I needed new battery. I didn't understand how my battery went from 325 AMP to 175 AMP, especially since it was supposed to be charging. It came out to be 175 AMPs after being charged. ![]() The guy did another reading on his machine. He said he can take it inside and charge it.if it works, I don't need new e back in 40 mins. I took the car to Autozone nearby (it started on first try when I drove it). I figured it could be the starter or the battery (never been replaced). She said she had to try 2-3 times before it started. My wife had some issues starting her car last week (Toyota Corolla 2007). ![]()
